Analysis of Dental students’ perceptions about Dentistry at Work

Abstract


Dentistry at Work is defined as a specialty that links labor activity and worker’s oral health preventing. This study aim to analyse a the perception and knowledge of dental students from Brazilians public and private universities onto the creation of that specialty. The research was accomplished through the quali-quantitative assessment by questionnaires with closed style questions onto the subject. The outcomes reveals that 5,7% of students is are in agreement with the validation of the specialty and 44,73% students belive that such specialty advocates, dentistry class’ interests first. Based in the reached data it was concluded that Labor Dentistry Specialty was not enough understood or known by dental students.
