Diastema closure with densely sintered alumina crowns

Abstract

This article aims to present a clinical case of a diastema closure with densely sintered alumina crowns using the Procera® system, highlighting its sequential steps and technical requisites for success. The case presented the protocol that follows: diagnostic waxing, chamfer preparations with a 1,5 mm axial reduction and a 2,0 mm of incisal reduction, temporary restorations, impression with the double cord technique, substructure wax up for double scanning, ceramic application, and cementation with a resin cement. Results obtained were judged as satisfying esthetically and biologically by the patient and the dentist.
