Abstract

Adhesion and cellular proliferation in surfaces of Ti cp (Degree II) modified by plasma were analyzed following two different strategies: (1) Exposing of one type of surface to each cell cultivation and (2) Exposing of two different surfaces at the same cell cultivation. It was observed a statistical significant difference in relation to the proliferation and morphology, between samples nitrided and without treatment. In the first strategy, it was verified a discrete cell preference in nitrided samples. Although, when both surfaces were
exposed to the same culture environment (strategy 2) it was verified that the preference to the nitrided samples was absolutely higher than that verified to the strategy 1. It means that in one situation of concurrence between two surfaces (treated and non-treated), the cell preference is intensified.
