Reciprocating movement in endodontics: literature review

Abstract

The canal’s instrumentation by using single file in reciprocation movement is gaining popularity due to the reduction of working time and less prone to fractu¬res of the instruments. Before choosing which system will use, the dentist must know the capabilities and li¬mitations of each system based on scientific evidence. This article reviews the literature on the reciprocation movement pointing out the advantages and disadvan¬tages of this different kinematic instrumentation.
