The role of school on the moral education of Dental students
Abstract
In this paper we analyze the role of the school on
the moral education of dental students. Questioning
the pedagogical basis of the hegemonic deontological
model of teaching ethics during dental training, we
advocate an active pedagogical approach and suggest
that the role of the school on the moral education
of future dentists consists in making students experience,
in a conscious and responsible way, the
moral dilemmas that show up in social relations at
school’s day-to-day.
