Drug-induced oral reactions: relevant aspects to stomatology

Abstract

Several drugs have the potential of inducing alterations and sequelae on the oral soft and hard tissues. All health professionals should be aware of these drug-induced oral side effects of the most frequently prescribed drugs in order to establish proper diagnosis and treatment. The objective of this study is to review and list the most commonly prescribed drugs and their side effects with emphasis on the oral tissues.
