MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Submission of a manuscript implies agreement with the Journal’s submission terms, which must be filled in the platform’s online formulary. The authors must ensure that the contribution must be original, has not been published previously and is not under consideration by another journal in either electronic or printed versions.

A Tutorial is available to better instruct authors on including a manuscript in the journal’s platform.

The Copyright Statement is also required when submitting a manuscript. Upon acceptance, the Copyright Transfer Form and the Author’s Declaration of Responsibility must be forwarded to the journal.

A copy of the Research Ethics Committee Approval Certificate must be submitted. The absence of this document will cause rejection of the manuscript. Papers presenting clinical trials or clinical studies in human volunteers or in animals must be in accordance with the National Health Council Resolution 466/12, and must have a written patient informed consent form and approval by a Research Ethics Committee.

The contribution of each author must be described in the cover page, according to the authorship and co-authorship criteria adopted by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, available at http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-anresponsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html. A summarized curriculum of each author also must be included in the cover page (an example is given at the Cover Page section).

In Clinical Trials, the registration number and research registration name will be published with the article.

It is important that all authors have a registered Currículo Lattes (click on the hyperlink to see a tutorial with the steps to registering on the Lattes platform).

Authors whose primary language is not English must present a valid certificate issued by an English Translation or Reviewing Editorial Service and assume all costs of this revision.

Manuscripts from authors whose primary language is not English must be submitted together with a valid certificate issued by an English language revision company. In order to facilitate the peer review process, the cover page must be uploaded at the website as a separate file. In the body of the manuscript, the first page must contain only the manuscript specialty or research area and the title.

The manuscript title should not contain commercial names.

Acknowledgements, summarized curriculum and authors‘ contribution (example below) must be presented only on the cover page, and must not appear elsewhere in the manuscript.
