Evaluation of the cytotoxicity of four alginate used in Dentistry

Abstract


The objective of this study was to evaluate the cytotoxicity of four different dental alginate. The four alginate were divided into four groups: Jeltrate, Tropicalgin, Cavex Color change and Qualitygel. Bodies of evidence were immersed in Eagle medium for 2 min, and then it was removed the supernatant and placed in contact with L929 fibroblasts. After staining, viable cells were counted. The results showed differences between groups CC and C- and the others.All experimental groups showed cytotoxicit
