Abstract

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the diametral tensile strength (DTS) of a composite after two types of photoactivation and storage. Twenty-four specimens were divided into four groups: G1-Photoactivation conventional stored in distilled water; G2-pulse delay stored in distilled water; G3-conventional stored in alcohol, G4-pulse delay stored in alcohol (n = 6). The groups were stored at 37° C for 24 hours. The DTS was performed at a speed of 1.0 mm / min. The results (G1: 130.9, G2: 127.6, G3: 130.8, G4: 110.8 MPa) were submitted to Anova (p ? 0.05) and show a statistical similarity. There was no difference in the cohesive strength of the composite in different activation methods and storage media.
