Analysis of websites of dentists regarding the ethical and legal issues relating to advertising and propaganda
Abstract
The aim of this study was to verify if the content of dentist’s websites is in line with the standard that treats the advertising and propaganda of dentistry. This is a cross sectional observational study based on a form consisting on 25 questions to collect data from a sample of 384 websites domain. Most websites are not analyzed in accordance with specific standards when the variables were named representative of the profession and the use of terms such as "before and after." However, most websites is in accordance with standards when analyzing the name of the professional, affiliation to the Council and address of the office.
