Abstract

This study evaluated the bond strength (BS) to the
enamel and dentin of new adhesive systems: Tetric NBond
(TN), which is an etch-and-rinse system, and selfetch
adhesive Bond Force (BF). Buccal surfaces for
twenty-four incisors bovine were abraded in order to
expose the enamel and dentin surfaces. The samples
were randomly divided in 4 groups (n=6). Three resin
composite cylinders were obtained per teeth. The specimens
were submitted to micro-shear testing and BS
values were statistically analyzed (Anova, p < 0,05).
The BS value for TN was higher than for BF. Enamel BS
was higher than in dentin.
