Double lip: a case report
Abstract
The double lip is a congenital or acquired origin anomaly, which is characterized by the presence of a hyperplastic tissue in the lip mucosa, which most often affects the upper lip, without preference for ethnic group or gender. Surgical treatment is indicated in cases where the patient has functional and/ or aesthetic. The purpose of this work is to report a case of double lip in a 19-year-old male patient, which had as main complaint the aesthetic change in the upper lip, which was successfully treated by surgical excision.
