Endodontic therapy in a Family Health Residency: patients’ satisfaction and self-perceived quality of life
Abstract
It was evaluated the patients’ satisfaction and selfperceived
quality of life after endodontic treatment performed in the family health specialization course at surgeon dentists and nurses residence in University of Montes Claros-Unimontes. A questionnaire based on OHIP (Oral Health Impact Profile) as well as a differential semantic scale to measure satisfaction regarding endodontic treatments were used. Thirty patients were interviewed. It was observed that the endodontic treatments improved quality of life mainly regarding “physical pain” and “physical incapacity”. Patients’ satisfaction was high regarding all procedures analyzed.
