Garré´s osteomyelitis. An update and report of two new cases

Abstract


The present article aimed to update and report two clinical cases of Garré’s osteomyelitis in children. In the first case, there was history of dental caries in the tooth 36 submitted to extraction ten days before. Extraorally it was observed painful tumefaction in left submandibular region. The occlusal radiography showed expansion of the board vestibular bone in concentric layers. The treatment was antibiotics after culture and antibiogram. The second case presented swelling in the left submandibular, metallic restoration in the tooth 36 with periapical radiolucent image. It was applied endodontic treatment and antibiotics. The condition has evolved favourably in both reported cases with signs of relapse after follow-up of 3 months
