Abstract
Two extensive periapical lesions associated with the maxillary right and left central incisors developed after a trauma; there was also consistent, painless swelling of the cortical bone plate. After establishment of apical patency, there was persistent and abundant drainage of bloody serous exudate. Aspiration of the lesions produced 10 mL of the inflammatory exudate. The pathology persisted after biomechanical preparation and application of calcium hydroxide root canal dressing.
