Aspects of the oral health of adults in the city of Grão Mogol
Abstract
The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of oral illnesses in Grão Mogol city, in 2005, correlating them with situational variables in adults among 20 and 59 years old (n = 735). The results were submitted to tests chi-square, Fisher’s exact and binary logistic regression, with confidence interval of 95% (p < 0,05). The clinical variables were: use and need of prosthesis, edentation, periodontal problems, oral
mucosal lesions and general dental treatment necessities. The study followed the criteria of the SB Brazil and INCA, with adaptations. The results demonstrate associations among oral findings of adults and socioeconomic factors.
