Nasopalatine duct cyst in a pediatric patient: a case report and literature review

Abstract


The aimes of this work are to report a case of nasopalatineduct cyst, review its characteristics and discuss its treatment. The authors report a nasopalatine duct cyst in a ten years old male patient. The lesion was found in a routine radiographic examination of orthodontic treatment and was not symptomatic. The patient underwent surgical enucleation and a radiographic follow up of 18 months that showed evidence of local bone healing. The histopathological examination revealed a nasopalatine duct cyst.
